Job Summary
The Sports Instructor is responsible for managing and leading their assigned field or court while delivering a fun, safe, and well-organized experience for all participants. This role plays a key part in bringing the i9 Sports mission to life—Helping Kids Succeed in Life Through Sports®—by supporting volunteer coaches, engaging with families, and ensuring a positive game day environment.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of an assigned field or court, ensuring a safe, organized, and positive environment
- Support volunteer coaches with practices, drills, and game management
- Ensure all practices and games start and end on time
- Set up and break down fields/courts, ensuring equipment is safe and ready for play
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for players, coaches, and parents
- Promote and model i9 Sports core values: fun, safety, and good sportsmanship
- Provide guidance and encouragement to volunteer coaches throughout the day
- Help create a low-pressure, instructional environment focused on player development
- Monitor gameplay to ensure safety and fairness
- Communicate with the Site Manager regarding any issues or updates
Qualifications
- Energetic, reliable, and positive attitude
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with children ages 3–15
- Ability to work weekends
- Interest in sports, coaching, or youth development preferred
- Experience working with children or in team environments is a plus

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
