Soccer Sport Coordinator - Part Time - Independent Contractor

This is a Sport Coordinator role. Sport Coordinators run soccer. Referees officiate games; that is not this job.
What you do on game day:
Wear your i9 Sports shirt, lanyard, khaki shorts and i9 hat.
Arrive 1 hour before the first practice.
Get the day's practice plan and the sportsmanship value of the week. Walk the plan with the Site Manager.
Set up soccer: cones, flags, goals, benches and signage. Pull equipment from the Site Manager.
Greet kids and coaches by name. Review the practice plan with each coach. Go over the skills checklist with parents.
Make sure coaches run fun, safe, instructional, age-appropriate practices. Inexperienced coaches use the i9 practice plans. Step in and help.
Start games on time. The referee has control of the game (you are not the referee).
Hand out the sportsmanship award after the game in front of the team and parents. Check in with coaches.
Run 20-10-1.
Take down signage, pull equipment and leave the field clean. Tell the Site Manager about any issues.
Schedule (soccer only):
Saturdays 7am-12pm at Horizon and Vista del Camino, starting 9/19/2026.
Sundays 7am-12pm at Thunderbird and Chaparral, starting 9/20/2026.
Pay:
$18/hour, 1099 independent contractor. This is not paid at per-game referee rates.
Requirements:
18 or older.
