Minimum Qualifications:
- Must commit to working Fridays (2-3 hours), Saturdays, and Sundays, 6am-5pm for the entirety of a season (6-7 weeks)
- Previous experience in sports event management.
- Strong knowledge of multiple sports (cross-training is mandatory).
- Outgoing and ambitious personality.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and manage part-time staff effectively.
- Weekend reliability.
The GDD supports the OD on Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays by heading equipment management, leading on-site staff training, managing call-offs, and ensuring seamless venue operations for game days. This role requires cross-training in multiple sports and adaptability to transition between various responsibilities and locations based on dynamic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide exemplary leadership to part-time staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Set high-performance standards, reinforcing i9 Sports’ commitment to fun, safety, and good sportsmanship.
- Lead by example, exhibiting professionalism and enthusiasm to inspire the team.
- Conduct on-site staff training and evaluation sessions to ensure consistent excellence.
- Manage call-offs and implement contingency plans to maintain operational efficiency.
- Efficiently load work vehicles on Fridays with the necessary equipment for all assigned venues.
- Ensure all equipment is delivered to locations and venues are set up to the highest i9 Sports standards.
- Drive to different locations assigned weekly by the OD during the season.
- Adapt to managing logistics across various venues.
- Cross-train in multiple sports, adapting to the diverse requirements of different events.
- Demonstrate flexibility to transition into various roles as needed during game days.
- Assist the OD in navigating and leading through challenging game day scenarios.
- Inspire the team to execute programs smoothly and deliver exceptional service.
- Pre-Season Preparations:
- Assist with coaches’ bags and other pre-season preparations to contribute to overall program efficiency.
